Library Helpers

Each morning some of our 7th & 8th grade students volunteer in the media center. They assist students in finding and checking out books. They also help with computer questions. If any books need mending they work on those too. Their volunteering is what makes Lowell #1!

A Passion for Print Book Club Donates 700 Books to Lowell!

A Passion for Print Book Club celebrated reading their fiftieth book by donating 700 books to our media center! The book club could have chosen an exotic trip or night on the town but instead they put their love of literature into play and helped put more books into our students’ hands.

On August 11th three of the members enlisted a husband, son, and several grandchildren to help deliver the fourteen boxes of books to Lowell. They visited classrooms from each grade, interacting with our students and teachers. The excitement was felt by all. The students were so anxious to check out the books, but first they needed to be catalogued. As of August 27, 2010, all books were ready to go!
